Manchester United handed massive Robert Lewandowski boost
At this point of time, it feels unlikely that Manchester United will make any further big moves this summer. After all, the club have already strengthened their squad significantly with the additions of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton in this transfer window.
Of course, there have been some rumours suggesting that the club could make a move for a central midfielder and it remains to be seen what happens regarding that.
One position that the Red Devils might have to strengthen in the not too distant future though is striker. Edinson Cavani appears to be the club’s first-choice striker at the moment but his contract will run out at the end of this season. Could they possibly replace the veteran striker with another one?
As reported by Sky Sports, Robert Lewandowski wants a new challenge away from Bayern Munich and wants to join another top European club before the age of 35. The Bundesliga giants value him at more than £100 million.

Could Manchester United make a move for Lewandowski in the future?
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Lewandowski for a long time now but it has never materialised. But could there still be a chance of it happening in the future?
Yes, Lewandowski is set to turn 33 years of age. But that has not had an effect on his performances. On the contrary, it seems like he has gotten better with time. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 48 goals in 40 appearances last season and has already found the back of the net thrice in 2 appearances this season.
While a summer exit seems very unlikely, his current deal with Bayern Munich runs out in the summer of 2023.
Thus, Bayern Munich could possibly be more open to the idea of a Lewandowski exit next summer. Or a club could sign him as a free agent a season later if he does not end up extending his deal with the Bundesliga giants.
With Cavani, Manchester United have already shown that they are open to the idea of signing veteran strikers as free agents if the right opportunity presents itself. Could they possibly do the same with Lewandowski in the future?
