Manchester United have been linked with Jadon Sancho for years now and it is not hard to see why. The English international established himself as one of the most exciting wingers in world football during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

The Red Devils had tried to sign him last summer as well but a move failed to materialise back then. They have managed to get a deal over the line this time around though and Sancho made his debut for the club as a second-half substitute in their Premier League season opener against Leeds United.

The youngster has now featured for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side again but this time in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Old Trafford against Burnley.

Sancho was part of a heavily rotated forward line for Manchester United. As reported by the Mirror, he featured on the left wing while Juan Mata played on the right wing. Jesse Lingard featured in the number 10 role while Anthony Martial was the centre-forward.

Sancho could be a very important player for Manchester United this season

Sancho has arrived at the Theatre of Dreams with a lot of expectations. It is safe to say that the youngster was absolutely brilliant during his stint at Borussia Dortmund.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in 137 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

Still only 21 years of age, Sancho is expected to get only better moving forward. And hopefully he can establish himself as one of the best players in the world during his time at Old Trafford. He certainly has the potential to reach that level in the future.

His versatility can be a huge asset to Solskjaer this season as well as Sancho can play on both the flanks, which will open up a lot of different combinations that can be used in the Red Devils’ forward line.
