Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are all readying moves

Manchester United have had quite a reputation in recent times of signing some of the most highly-rated youngsters from all around the world, in hopes that they can be superstars at Old Trafford in the future.

This summer, they have gone for established stars, having signed Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton. But they might have an wonderkid on their transfer radar as well.

Pape Matar Sarr has enjoyed quite a rise over the last year or so. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 27 appearances for FC Metz, scoring 4 goals in the process of doing so. The 18-year-old has also already made his debut for the Senegal national team.

Thus, it is safe to say that he has incredible potential and it looks like some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League are interested in his signature. As reported by the Daily Mail, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all see Sarr as a potential star in the making and are readying moves for the teenager.

It is not hard to see why the Red Devils might be interested in signing Sarr. Central midfield is an area that they might need to improve in moving forward.

Also, Pogba might have put in a sensational performance in the club’s Premier League season opener against Leeds United as he provided four assists on the day, but his long-term future at Old Trafford remains in doubt as he is in the final 12 months of his current deal and is yet to sign an extension.

It will be interesting to see if the Red Devils are able to get a deal over the line for the youngster though considering the fact that they are facing competition from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City for Sarr’s signature.
