After failing to sign Jadon Sancho last summer due to Borussia Dortmund looking for a £108 million transfer fee for his signature back then, Manchester United had signed two youngsters in the form of Amad from Atalanta and Facundo Pellistri from Penarol in order to strengthen in the right wing position.

While Pellistri was loaned out to La Liga side Deportivo Alaves in the second half of the campaign, it was only in January that Amad finally arrived at the club.

After some very impressive performances for the Under-23s side, he made a few appearances for the first-team. He debuted against Real Sociedad in the Europa League as a substitute. And the teenager even scored a goal against AC Milan in the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he made 8 appearances for the club, scoring and assisting once each.

Manchester United make Amad summer transfer decision

In this summer transfer window, the Red Devils finally managed to sign Sancho after being linked with him for years. The English international would be expected to make the right wing position his own.  This, of course, could mean fewer first-team minutes for players like Amad.

As reported by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are expected to let Amad leave on loan this summer.

And one has to feel that this might be the best thing for the youngster moving forward. With the arrival of Sancho, there is incredible depth on the wings at Old Trafford now. Thus, first-team minutes would be expected to be limited for a youngster like Amad.

On the other hand, he can go out on loan somewhere, play regular first-team football and develop as a footballer. There is no doubt that he is expected to have a huge future at the club. But for the time being, a temporary Old Trafford exit might be very important for him.
