Hannibal Mejbri
Mejbri is currently touted as one of the most promising prospects in the club’s youth setup, if not the most promising. Two years ago, Manchester United signed him from AS Monaco in a deal with the transfer fee believed to be rising to €10 million with add-ons.
A creative midfielder, the 18-year-old has already made his debut for the Tunisia national team. Mejbri made his senior debut in the club’s final Premier League fixture of last season against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The current Manchester United squad has incredible depth in the midfield department, with players such as Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek, Jesse Lingard in contention for the attacking midfield position. As a result, Mejbri’s chances are expected to be limited.

However, the future at Old Trafford is looking very bright for the teenager. Mejbri has participated in every pre-season game for Solskjaer’s side this time around and the manager should have gotten a glimpse of his qualities.
Hence, Mejbri might get his chance to shine in the first-team in the 2021/22 season. One would expect to see him feature in the club’s Cup games and in the Premier League on occasion. And if he can impress there, he would be expected to get more chances moving forward.
Thus, Mejbri, Elanga and Shoretire are three Manchester United youngsters who could have breakout seasons this time around. There are many other talented young players at the club at the moment though and it would not be a surprise if some others end up making their mark on the first-team as well. 2021/22 certainly promises to be an exciting campaign.
