Find the right combination up top

It goes without saying that Manchester United had one of the best attacks in the entire Premier League last season. But very often it came down to individual brilliance in the final third.

Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood all had brilliant periods of form. But it is arguable that none of them were at the top of their game for the entirety of the season.

Now, of course, it is a long campaign and it is impossible for players to be at the top of their games for the entirety of it. But it will be important for more than one of the players up top to be delivering at the same time.

Another interesting thing is the addition of Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils have been linked with the youngster for years and have now finally managed to sign him from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

There is no doubt that he is a brilliant player and could be an incredible addition to this team. But it will be important for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to find the right combination up top.

Right now, Cavani is the best striker at the club, while Sancho would be expected to feature on the right. Fernandes has been perhaps the club’s best player ever since arriving at Old Trafford and he would be expected to feature in attacking midfield. Who will feature on the left though?

And the manager must also be careful to give enough minutes to Greenwood as well, who has shown tremendous potential till now but needs time on the pitch at this stage of his career to develop even further.
