In terms of signing players, Manchester United have made some brilliant moves in this summer transfer window. They have completed the signings of Tom Heaton and Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane is set to join from Real Madrid as well.

The moves indeed reflect the club’s ambitions for the season. After going four seasons without a trophy, they seem determined to bring an end to that streak as soon as possible.

But things have not gone as smoothly for the Red Devils when it comes to letting players leave. As a result, they might have to focus on that aspect now, before making any further additions to the squad.

As reported by TNT Sports, Fenerbahce are interested in signing Andreas Pereira this summer but they will make a move only if Manchester United reduce the transfer fee that they are looking for. It is believed that the Red Devils are looking for a transfer fee of around €25 million for Pereira.

Pereira could leave Manchester United this summer

Having completed his season-long loan spell at Lazio, Pereira returned to Old Trafford this summer. Coming through the club’s academy, he was one of their most highly-rated youngsters. But he has not managed to quite find his feet at the senior level yet.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, he featured for 801 minutes last season on loan at Lazio across 33 appearances, scoring once and assisting four times in all competitions.

A permanent move to the Italian side failed to materialise this summer and as a result, Pereira is now back at Old Trafford. He has featured for the side in their pre-season games and has looked promising, even scoring a great goal.

But with the depth in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad at the moment, it feels unlikely that he will get too many first-team opportunities, if he remained at the club for the 2021/22 campaign.
