Former Bayern Munich star dreams of Manchester United move
Manchester United are without doubt still one of the biggest clubs in the world despite their struggles following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Red Devils have not won a trophy in four seasons, but we have already seen them make two big moves in the summer transfer window by signing Jadon Sancho and agreeing a deal with Real Madrid for Raphael Varane. And they are not expected to stop there.
Despite Varane looking set to join the club soon, some recent rumours have suggested that they could be looking to sign another centre-back this summer in order to further strengthen the backline. Could a former Bayern Munich star be the answer?
As reported by CalcioMercato (via Express), Jerome Boateng wants to sign for a club who are participating in the Champions League next season and his dream is to join Manchester United.

Manchester United is a dream club for Boateng
Boateng’s incredible spell at Bayern Munich came to an end last season. The 32-year-old spent a decade at the club, winning every trophy possible during his time there.
He is a free agent now and looking for his next club. And various Serie A clubs are believed to be interested in his services.
Interestingly, Boateng has been playing regular football and is not someone who was struggling for playing time before leaving. Thus, he could be a solid signing for many clubs around Europe.
He has a wealth of experience at both club and international level, having won everything possible with Bayern Munich and the World Cup with the Germany national team. Is he someone that the Red Devils should consider signing at this point of time though?
With Varane set to arrive, the depth at centre-back in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is impressive. But if the likes of Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones were to leave, both of whom have been linked with Old Trafford exits in recent times, then a move for Boateng could make a lot of sense.
