Manchester United are certainly going through an eventful summer transfer window. The club have already signed Jadon Sancho and Tom Heaton, and have also agreed a deal with Real Madrid to sign Raphael Varane.

They are not expected to stop there though and could end up making a few more signings as well. But on the other hand, some players might end up departing Old Trafford as well.

Paul Pogba is one such player, whose future is up in the air at the moment. He has only one year left on his current deal. And while he remains one of the most important players in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, a move away this summer might very well be on the cards for the Frenchman.

As reported by Le10 Sport (via Metro), Mino Raiola has approached Liverpool to make them aware that a summer transfer for Pogba could be possible. Jurgen Klopp’s side have indicated that they would not make a move this summer but the opportunity could interest them next January, six months before the end of his contract.

Manchester United must try to keep Pogba at the club

On top of his game, Pogba is one of the best players in the entire Premier League. He was one of the biggest reasons that they managed to finish second last season. Thus, him leaving would be a massive blow to Solskjaer’s side.

But if they cannot agree a contract extension with him soon, the club might have very few other options than to let him leave this summer. Otherwise, he will become a free agent next summer.

A move to Liverpool for the French midfielder seems very unlikely even if the Red Devils were to let him leave though. Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with him in recent times and that could be a possible destination for Pogba in case he ended up departing Old Trafford.
