Manchester United will open talks for £50 million star if Paul Pogba leaves
Paul Pogba was one of the best players at the club last season and he played some of his best football in a Manchester United shirt. His form was one of the biggest reasons why they managed to finish second in the Premier League and as runners up in the Europa League.
On the top of his game, Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the world. And he remains one of the most important members in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
But with just a year left on his current deal at the club, there is a possibility that he could end up leaving this summer. It goes without saying that if the French midfield maestro did end up departing Old Trafford, it would be a massive blow to the Red Devils.
The club appear to have replacements on their radar if that was to happen though. As reported by the Daily Star, Manchester United will open talks with Atletico Madrid about signing Saul Niguez if Pogba decides to leave Old Trafford. They believe that the Spanish giants would accept an offer in the region of £50 million.

Manchester United have Saul on their radar in case Pogba leaves this summer
Not too long ago, Saul was one of the most highly-rated midfielders in world football. But while Atletico Madrid ended up winning the La Liga title last season, the Spaniard did not have a great individual campaign.
While his current deal with Atletico Madrid runs till the summer of 2026, he has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer. Not only the Red Devils but the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and many others are also believed to interested in his signature.
Of course, the best case scenario would be for Pogba to extend his contract and remain at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future. But if he was to leave, signing someone like Saul would be a massive boost for Manchester United. Now, it remains to be seen what the future holds.
