Manchester United’s strongest XI with Raphael Varane
Raphael Varane has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United for quite some time now. With just a year left on his contract with Real Madrid, a Santiago Bernabeu exit always seemed like a possibility. And now, it looks like a move to Old Trafford is set to take place soon.
Signing someone like Varane would definitely be a massive boost for the Red Devils. The Frenchman has an incredible combination of world-class quality and top level experience.
The Red Devils have not won a trophy in four seasons now. And someone with the pedigree of Varane could help bring an end to that streak.
Fabrizio Romano has tweeted out that the agreement is almost done between the two clubs with just the final details to be completed and then it will be time for paperwork:

How Manchester United could line up with Varane in their starting XI
Varane would definitely be expected to immediately come into the first-team. He would most probably partner Harry Maguire in the heart of the defence, in what could be one of the best defensive duos in world football next season.
Also, it is important to remember that the club have signed Jadon Sancho as well, who is another player who will most probably have a spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI from the start of the season.
Paul Pogba’s future appears to be up in the air but for the time being, he is at Old Trafford and so we will include him in the club’s strongest XI for if or when the move for Varane happens:
Dean Henderson
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Raphael Varane
Harry Maguire
Luke Shaw
Scott McTominay
Paul Pogba
Jadon Sancho
Bruno Fernandes
Marcus Rashford
Edinson Cavani
The Red Devils have done brilliantly in the transfer window this summer and it is certainly a very exciting time to be a fan of the club.
