Manchester United have made a great start to the ongoing summer transfer window. But when it comes to outgoings, there are yet to be any major departures, although there could be some big exits this summer.
Since the beginning of the summer transfer window, the Red Devils have successfully signed Tom Heaton and Jadon Sancho. A move for Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane could possibly be on the cards as well but it looks like it depends on whether the two clubs can reach an agreement over a deal.
One player who could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the near future is Anthony Martial. The Frenchman did not have a great time last season and now with the arrival of Sancho, opportunities could be more limited for him moving forward.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Martial is a player who has been followed by FC Barcelona for a long time.

Could Martial be on his way out of Manchester United this summer?
Following the departure of Romelu Lukaku in 2019, Solskjaer decided to utilise Martial as a centre-forward rather than as a winger. And it is safe to say that he made an impressive start in his new role.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, Martial scored 23 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils in the 2019/20 campaign. That was arguably his best season in a Manchester United shirt.
In the 2020/21 campaign though, the 25-year-old Frenchman had his fair share of struggles. He could not find his scoring boots and even suffered a few injury problems. Ultimately, he could not match his incredible performances from the previous season, while Edinson Cavani ended the campaign in brilliant form and most probably as the first-choice striker at Old Trafford.
Thus, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Martial at the club. But a move to FC Barcelona feels unlikely in the current situation unless the two clubs can agree to some kind of a swap deal.
