It is safe to say that Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United is very much up in the air at the moment. The Frenchman has only a year left on his current deal at the club and there is a possibility that he could be on his way out of the Theatre of Dreams this summer.

Pogba was part of the Red Devils’ youth ranks but ended up joining Juventus very early in his career. It was there that he established himself as one of the most exciting midfielders in world football.

He then made a return to Old Trafford in what was a then world record transfer move. But it is safe to say that his time at the club has been up-and-down. And recent rumours suggested that the 28-year-old had rejected a contract extension offer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer though has revealed that talks are still ongoing regarding the situation and Pogba himself appears to be looking forward to the upcoming season. As reported by GOAL, the manager said:

"“Talks are ongoing between Paul’s representative and the club representatives. All the dialogue I’ve had with Paul is that he’s looking forward to the season.”"

Will Pogba remain at Manchester United beyond this summer?

Pogba has always been linked with a move away from Old Trafford through the course of his time at the club. But he has ended up staying till now.

The French World Cup winner is now in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford though. As a result, the club will know that he will become a free agent next summer unless they are able to agree a contract extension with him. Thus, there is a possibility that they might have to let him leave soon. Now, it remains to be seen what the future holds.

Of course, Pogba leaving would be a big blow to the club, as he has been an important part of Solskjaer’s side and was playing some of his best football in a Manchester United shirt last season.
