Since joining Manchester United from Juventus for a then record-breaking transfer fee, Paul Pogba has been a regular in the Red Devils’ team.
Although his on-field performances have not always been spectacular, Pogba has remained an important member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and his form was a huge reason behind them finishing second in the Premier League and as runners up in the Europa League last season.
Hence, letting him leave this summer may not be ideal for Solskjaer’s side. But with just a year left on his current deal, the club might have very few other options if they cannot agree a contract extension with him soon.
As reported by The Telegraph (via Daily Mail), Manchester United expect Paris Saint-Germain to make their move for Pogba before the end of this transfer window.

Manchester United might have to let Pogba leave this summer
It is believed that the Red Devils want to keep Pogba at the club beyond this summer. But, Paris Saint-Germain’s rumoured interest in the player, combined with him having just a year left on his current deal, could make things very tricky for the Premier League giants.
Pogba played some of his best football for the club last season. As a result, if he was to leave this summer, it would be considered as a major blow for the club and he would certainly be someone that they would need to sign a replacement for in this transfer window itself.
It is worth pointing out that the Red Devils have been linked with several midfielders in recent weeks. Eduardo Camavinga, Saul Niguez and Declan Rice are just some of the names that have been brought up.
The best case scenario for the club will still most probably be Pogba agreeing a contract extension and remaining at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future. But they must also be careful not to leave things too late and not have time on their hands to find a replacement for him, in case he was to leave.
