Paul Pogba’s Manchester United future has been up in the air for a while now, with the French midfield maestro entering the final 12 months of his current deal with the club this summer.
At the start of last season, it had looked like he was destined to leave Old Trafford sooner or later. But a strong campaign, both individually and for the team, had provided hope that he could decide to remain at the club. Now though, it looks like that won’t be the case.
As reported by the Mirror, Pogba has rejected a new £50 million contract at Manchester United and is set to leave this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with Pogba in recent months and that looks like a possible destination for the French World Cup winner at this moment.

Pogba looks set to leave Manchester United this summer
With just a year left on his contract, the Red Devils will most probably have to let Pogba leave this summer. Otherwise, he will become a free agent just a year later.
Of course, this will be a blow to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. There is no denying that Pogba was a huge part of the team last season and one of the biggest reasons they finished second in the Premier League and runners up in the Europa League.
The Frenchman was playing some of his best football in a Manchester United shirt in the 2020/21 campaign. On the top of his game, he is one of the best players in the entire Premier League and perhaps one of the best midfielders in world football. As a result, if he was to leave this summer, he would be a very difficult player to find a replacement for.
It is worth pointing out the the Red Devils have been linked with several midfielders recently. The names of the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Saul Niguez, Ruben Neves, Declan Rice and many others have been brought up. Now, it remains to be seen how things turn out in the summer transfer window.
