Eduardo Camavinga preference revealed amidst Manchester United links
At this point of time, it looks like Paul Pogba could be headed out of Old Trafford soon, with just a year left on his current contract. And as a result, Manchester United could very well be looking to strengthen in midfield over the summer.
One player that they have been heavily linked with over the past few weeks is Eduardo Camavinga. The 18-year-old is one of the most highly-rated youngsters in world football today.
Despite his young age, he already has a lot of experience under his belt and has been a regular in Rennes’ first-team for a couple of seasons now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 82 appearances for the French club till now.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Camavinga favours a move to Spain amid interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils have held discussions with his representatives that were described as ‘not encouraging’.

Manchester United handed Camavinga blow
It is not hard to see why some of the biggest clubs from around Europe appear to be interested in signing Camavinga, with one of them being the Red Devils. At 18 years of age, he has already shown that he can perform in a top league as well as the Champions League and the sky appears to be the limit for the youngster.
And with just a year left on his current deal with Rennes, it is very possible that he could be on the move this summer. Yet, a switch to Old Trafford appears to be difficult, considering that he is believed to prefer a move to the La Liga.
It is worth pointing out though that the club has been linked with several other midfielders over the past couple of weeks. Saul Niguez and Ruben Neves are just two of the players who they also appear to have on their radar at this point of time.
