Paul Pogba’s stance on Manchester United future revealed

There is no doubt that Paul Pogba remains one of the most important players at Manchester United. But with him entering the final year of his current deal, it is safe to say that the Frenchman’s Old Trafford future is up in the air at the moment.

At the top of his game, Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the entire Premier League. And he was one of the biggest reasons behind the Red Devils’ strong 2020/21 campaign, as they finished second in the Premier League and as runners up in the Europa League.

As a result, it goes without saying that the Frenchman leaving would be a massive blow for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side but it is certainly a possibility. Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with a move for the 28-year-old recently.

As reported by Sky Sports, there has been no contact between the two clubs and no official transfer bid made, but Pogba wants to assess all his options before deciding on what will likely be the last big contract of his career.

Could Pogba leave Manchester United this summer?

If the Red Devils are unable to agree a contract extension with Pogba, then there is a possibility that he could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer. Otherwise, he will become a free agent just a year later.

Not too long ago, at the start of last season, it was looking like Pogba was destined to leave the club sooner or later. Now though, there is a feeling that he could end up staying.

He played some of his best football in a Manchester United shirt last season and the team’s progress is clear to see as well. While they might not have won a trophy in the past four seasons, their performances in the 2020/21 campaign were very encouraging.

And after having agreed a deal to sign Jadon Sancho and being heavily linked with a move for Raphael Varane as well, the Red Devils could be a lot stronger in the upcoming season. Now, it remains to be seen what Pogba decides about his future at the club.
