Manchester United are expected to sign a number of players this summer. But on the other hand, a number of others might be headed out of the Old Trafford exit door as well.
There quite a few players who spent the previous season away on loan after struggling to get minutes in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team. And they could end up leaving the club either on loan or on permanent basis this summer.
One player whose future remains up in the air is Andreas Pereira. Coming through the academy, he was one of the most highly-rated players at the club. But he has not managed to quite establish himself in the first-team.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, Pereira has made 75 appearances for Manchester United till now, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists.

Pereira is free to leave Manchester United this summer
Pereira spent the previous season on loan at Lazio. But now, he is back at Old Trafford as the Italian side did not take the option to buy that was included in the loan deal.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Pereira is free to leave this summer if the club receive an acceptable offer for him. But with his contract running till the summer of 2023, another season-long loan may be more realistic.
If the attacking midfielder does end up remaining at Old Trafford, it feels unlikely that he will get too many first-team chances this season either. Bruno Fernandes is pretty much the first-choice in that position, as the Portuguese playmaker has been absolutely sensational ever since joining the club.
There is a possibility that Jesse Lingard might end up staying as well after his incredible loan spell at West Ham United. Paul Pogba is also capable of playing there, as well as Juan Mata. Thus, Pereira is expected to be behind a number of players in the pecking order. As a result, a summer move away, either on loan or permanently, seems like the best option for him at the moment when it comes to getting minutes on the pitch.
