Manchester United have been linked with a move for Harry Kane for years now but it has never quite appeared to be on the cards. But it does look like the England national captain could be looking to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

As a result, this might be one of the best opportunities that the Red Devils have ever had to bring Kane to Old Trafford. But after having already agreed a deal with Jadon Sancho, it might not be easy at all, especially in the current financial climate.

Some recent rumours had suggested that a swap deal could be a possibility. But as reported by Express, Manchester United are not planning a swap deal with Tottenham Hotspur in order to sign Kane. The club are focusing on other targets instead.

As a result, it does not look like a move to Old Trafford is on the cards for Kane this summer either.

Kane to Manchester United does not appear to be on the cards

There is no doubt that Kane is one of the best strikers in the world right now. But at this point of time, the Red Devils have Edinson Cavani in their squad, who was incredible towards the end of last season.

At 34 years of age, Cavani is not the long-term solution at striker for the club. But at this point of time though, there are other areas in the squad which need more immediate reinforcements. As a result, signing a new striker does not appear to be a priority at the moment for the club.

Recently, the Red Devils have been heavily linked with the likes of Raphael Varane and Eduardo Camavinga. And it goes without saying that both of them could be brilliant signings for the club if they can get deals over the line for them.
