Manchester United showed a lot of progress last season, finishing second in the Premier League and as runners up in the Europa League. But they are expected to be looking to take the next step in the near future and get back to winning trophies once again.
As a result, the club are expected to make a splash this summer. They have already made an impressive start to the transfer window, signing Tom Heaton on a free transfer and agreeing a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.
But the Red Devils won’t be expected to stop there. Two more players that they are being heavily linked with at the moment are Raphael Varane and Eduardo Camavinga, and it goes without saying that both of them could prove to be spectacular signings if the club are able to get deals for them over the line.
It looks like they will be facing competition from Paris Saint-Germain though for the signature of Varane. As tweeted out by journalist Ekrem Konur, the Ligue 1 giants are set to make a €40 million move for the French World Cup winner:

Can Manchester United sign Varane this summer?
Varane could be the perfect signing for Manchester United at this point of time. His brilliant combination of world class quality and top level experience could be a huge asset in getting this side back to winning trophies after four seasons without silverware.
But Paris Saint-Germain could also be a desirable destination for the centre-back. After a disappointing season by their own high standards, which saw them finish second in Ligue 1, the French side have been very active in the summer transfer window and have already signed Varane’s former Real Madrid partner, Sergio Ramos.
Now, it remains to be seen where he will end up. With just a year left on his current Real Madrid contract though, a summer move could very well be on the cards.
