Manchester United have recently begun their pre-season training ahead of the 2021-22 season. Having spent a short off-season vacation, the young members and certain senior members of the first-team squad are back at the AON Training Complex in Carrington.

A new summer signing in Tom Heaton has joined the squad after returning to his former club on a free transfer. Players such as Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Harry Maguire, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and many others are yet to report to pre-season training as they were with their national teams till very recently or still are in major continental championships.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would definitely like to have his full squad with him before embarking on another exciting season ahead. However, as things stand, they might possibly miss two of their players for quite some time.

As reported by Manchester Evening News, Eric Bailly and Amad have been named in the Ivory Coast squad for the Tokyo Olympics.
