Manchester United have made an impressive start to their summer transfer window, having already signed Tom Heaton on a free transfer and agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

But the future of Paul Pogba at Old Trafford will be a worry for the Red Devils moving forward. The French midfield maestro has only one year left on his current deal.

For quite some time now, he has been linked with an Old Trafford exit. Naturally, some of the biggest clubs in Europe are believed to be interested in the French World Cup winner. One of those clubs is Paris Saint-Germain.

As reported Foot Mercato (via Give Me Sport), Pogba is interested in the idea of joining Paris Saint-Germain this summer and the club have made contact with his agent, Mino Raiola, as discussions have started around a possible move.

Pogba leaving would be a massive blow to Manchester United

Many have questioned whether Pogba has ever managed to play his best football during his time at Old Trafford. But there is no doubt about the fact that he remains one of the most important members in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.

Thus, it would be understandable for the manager to want to keep him at Old Trafford. But with just a year left on his current deal with the Red Devils, the club might have to let him leave this summer if they cannot agree a contract extension with the Frenchman in the near future.

It is not hard to see why Paris Saint-Germain would want to sign the midfielder, as they continue their search for the UEFA Champions League title. Juventus are another club believed to be interested in his signature.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Manchester United are able to agree a contract extension with Pogba. Otherwise, it would not surprising to see him leave in the summer transfer window.
