With the arrival of Jadon Sancho at Manchester United set to take place soon, it could also lead to some players leaving the club in the near future as well.

With competition tough for a starting spot at Old Trafford, there is the possibility that Sancho’s arrival could limit Daniel James’ appearances in the future and could also lead to him leaving the club.

As reported by The Sun, Graham Potter hopes to get the nod to sign James this summer as Brighton & Hove Albion are eyeing a transfer swoop for the Manchester United winger. Potter will be well aware of his qualities from their time together at Swansea City, which is where the winger rose to prominence with the manager using his incredible pace to great effect.

James enjoyed a solid Euro 2020 campaign with Wales and helped them reach the Round of 16 of the competition. But the 23-year-old has found game time hard to come by at Old Trafford in recent times and could possibly leave in search of regular minutes in the future.

Does James have a future at Manchester United?

James has not been a regular starter at Old Trafford for quite some time now. According to Transfermarkt, the winger has featured 72 times through the course of his career with the Red Devils, scoring and assisting 9 times each.

While it does not look like his playing time will increase at Old Trafford in the near future, he could certainly play an important role in the right Premier League team. And Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion side might very well be that team, considering the history that the player and the manager share.

On the other hand, the Red Devils might have one of the most impressive wings in the Premier League next season as Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho might feature on the opposite flanks.
