It is the news that many of the club’s fans have been waiting months for. After years of being linked with the winger, Manchester United have agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho.

As reported by Sky Sports, the deal is worth in the region of £73 million with personal terms already agreed. Sancho will officially join after England’s participation in the Euros, subject to passing a medical.

Sancho had established himself as one of the brightest wingers in world football during his time at Borussia Dortmund. And one would hope that he can continue to grow as a player at Old Trafford, because if that is the case then the Red Devils could have one of the best players in the world on their hands.

The English international would also be a perfect fit in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team at the moment, as they do not possess much depth at right wing. As a result, Mason Greenwood had to feature there for most of the previous campaign but Sancho would be expected to come in and immediately make the position his own.

It could be important to give Sancho time to adjust at Manchester United

In the past, we have seen players coming from Bundesliga, take some time to adjust to the Premier League.

It was just last season that we saw Kai Havertz make a slow start at Chelsea. But by the end of the season, he scored the Champions League winning goal.

Thus, it will be important to give Sancho some time to adjust to the Premier League as well. While it is very possible that he could impress from the very beginning, there should be nothing to worry about even if that was not the case. The 21-year-old has already proven that he is a brilliant player, both in the Bundesliga and the Champions League. And it looks like there could soon be a new protagonist at the Theatre of Dreams.
