Manchester United have been linked with a move for Jadon Sancho for years now and he has appeared to be their number one transfer target this summer as well. And it looks like they are finally closing in on bringing the English international to Old Trafford.
Even last summer, the club had tried to sign Sancho but the move failed to materialise as Borussia Dortmund were believed to be looking for a transfer fee around €120 million, a figure that the Red Devils could not match.
This time around though, it looks like a deal is close to being agreed, with the Bundesliga giants having lowered the transfer fee that they want for Sancho. But his arrival might lead to the departure of another Manchester United star.
As reported by the Mirror, Anthony Martial is expected to be the major casualty of the deal. He is expected to leave on a permanent deal in order to make way for Sancho, with Tottenham Hotspur believed to be interested in the Frenchman.

Martial could be on his way out of Manchester United soon
It was not too long ago that it was looking like Martial was the long-term answer up top for the Red Devils. But he failed to find his scoring boots last season and then spent the last stretch of the campaign out with an injury.
At this point of time, it does look like he might not be a regular starter at Old Trafford come next season. Edinson Cavani is the best striker at the club right now, while Marcus Rashford and Sancho, if he did arrive, might be the ones to play on the flanks in Solskjaer’s side.
The manager will also have to find a place for Mason Greenwood in the team, as the youngster has shown tremendous potential over the past few seasons. This might lead to Martial’s playing time being reduced significantly and as a result, a move away from Old Trafford might make sense for the 25-year-old this summer.
