Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move to Manchester United for a long time now. But till now, a move has failed to materialise.

The club were also interested last summer but could not meet the €120 million transfer fee that Borussia Dortmund were believed to be looking for. A move to Old Trafford appears to be much more likely this time around.

Manchester United were believed to have initially made a transfer bid of around £67 million up front plus around £8 million in add-ons. Now, as reported by Sky Sports, the club have made an improved offer which is believed to be worth more than £75 million.

Borussia Dortmund are thought to be considering this latest offer from the Red Devils although there have been suggestions that they value Sancho in excess of £80 million.

Sancho could be a brilliant signing for Manchester United but can they get the deal over the line?

There is no questioning that Sancho could be a brilliant fit in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. The Red Devils do not possess much depth at right wing at the moment, which is why Mason Greenwood featured there for the majority of the past season although his future lies more centrally on the pitch.

Someone like Sancho could come in and immediately make the position his own. Ever since joining Borussia Dortmund, he has proven himself to be a very effective player, both in terms of goals and assists. And Solskjaer could certainly do with a player with the ability to make that kind of an impact.

It remains to be seen whether they can get a deal done this time around though. While the move certainly looks like a possibility at the moment, it is not set in stone. And as we all know, things can change very quickly in football.
