Manchester United might make a big signing or two in the upcoming summer transfer window as they aim to take their squad to the next level. The club have been heavily linked with a move for Jadon Sancho for quite some time now and are expected to go after other players as well over the course of the next few months.
While players are expected to arrive, some might head for the exit door as well. And one player who has been linked with various clubs in recent times is Donny van de Beek.
The Dutch midfielder arrived at Old Trafford last summer for a transfer fee believed to be around €40 million. But he has not managed to make his mark since then and has not been able to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team plans.
As reported by 90 Min, Arsenal have made contact with Manchester United about the future of Van de Beek and they have requested the Red Devils to keep them updated on his situation.

Could Van de Beek leave Manchester United after just one season?
It goes without saying that Van de Beek has not made the impact that the Red Devils would have been hoping for when they signed him from Ajax. But even then, it would be surprising if they decided to let him leave after just one season at Old Trafford.
The talent has never been in question when it comes to the 24-year-old. And one would hope that once he gets settled in the English game, he can showcase his abilities.
Also, there is a possibility that Paul Pogba could be on his way out of the club this summer with just a year left on his current contract. In that scenario, it is very possible that Van de Beek could play a much bigger role in Solskjaer’s side in the upcoming season.
