It looks like Manchester United could have a very different looking goalkeeping department in the upcoming season. Sergio Romero is set to leave the club after falling down in the pecking order behind Dean Henderson and David de Gea.
De Gea’s future has been in question recently as well. After holding on to the first-team gloves at Old Trafford for almost a decade, it had looked like Henderson had moved ahead of him in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pecking order.
But now, it looks like the future of Henderson is up in the air as well. As reported by Football Insider, Manchester United will listen to offers for Henderson as they set their sights on signing a second senior goalkeeper this summer.
Of course not many fans would have seen this coming considering the progress that Henderson had appeared to make over the second half of the season. And if he was to leave, you would have to feel that De Gea will remain at the club.

Manchester United look set for a goalkeeping shake-up
The Red Devils showed some tremendous improvement in the 2020/21 campaign, finishing second in the Premier League and as runners-up in the Europa League.
Unfortunately though, they could not win a trophy. In fact, it was the fourth straight season that they have gone trophyless and it is safe to say that they will need to put an end to that streak as soon as possible.
While there might be a shake-up between the posts for the upcoming season, it is not expected to be the only area on the pitch that the club will be making signings in.
Right wing, central midfield, centre-back, right-back and striker are also positions that Solskjaer might look to make reinforcements in. And do not be surprised if the club make a splash in the summer transfer window.
