Harry Kane appears to be looking for a move away from Tottenham Hotspur this summer. And there is expected to be a lot of interest in his signature if the England national team captain was to leave, with Manchester United being one of the clubs linked with him.

Kane has been one of the best strikers in world football for several years now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 221 goals for Tottenham Hotspur through the course of his time there. But for all of his brilliance, he has failed to win silverware with the club.

As a result, he appears to have his eyes on a transfer in the near future and it remains to be seen whether it will happen.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are expected to go after a striker in the summer transfer window. But it does not look like a Kane transfer is on the cards for them. As reported by the Mirror, the Red Devils favour a move for long-term target Jadon Sancho over a mega-money deal for Kane.

Manchester United reportedly want Sancho over Kane

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Sancho for a long-time now. Even last summer, it is believed that they had tried to sign the Borussia Dortmund winger but ultimately, a move failed to materialise. They are expected to try once again this time around though.

On the other hand, there is no doubt that signing someone like Kane would be brilliant for them and would probably turn the team into Premier League contenders immediately. But Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be looking for a transfer fee comfortably over £100 million for the striker. And that would be steep for any club to shell out, especially in the present financial climate.

Thus, making a move for Sancho might make more sense in the upcoming summer transfer window, with the lack of depth currently in the right wing position at Old Trafford as well.
