Neville picked current club captain, Harry Maguire, and wonderkid Mason Greenwood as his current favourite Manchester United players.

Like Neville, most fans were impressed by Maguire and Greenwood’s performances this season. While the skipper proved to be formidable at the back, Greenwood stole the show with his incredible goals in the second half of the season after a difficult start.

Maguire appeared in 34 Premier League matches this season and registered 13 clean sheets in the process of doing so, according to stats from Premier League’s official website. Additionally, the skipper scored two excellent goals as well. He is the backbone of the team’s defence and was missed in the Europa League final in their defeat against Villarreal.

Greenwood played an important role this season as well and has established himself as a first-team regular at 19 years of age. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists this season. With age on his side, he will only grow better from this point on and has the potential to become one of the best players in the world in the coming years.
