Manchester United have enjoyed a good 2020/2021 campaign. They will finish in second in the Premier League table and also have the chance of winning their first trophy under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as they take on Villarreal in the highly-anticipated Europa League final.

Thus, it could very well be the club’s biggest game since Solskjaer became the manager in late 2018 and one that they would want to win. Of course, the Norwegian will have some tough decisions on his hands going into the game.

One of those could be regarding the line up for the game. The Red Devils have not been in brilliant form in recent weeks, losing two and drawing one of their last three games. Thus, Solskjaer might have to make a few changes if things don’t improve against Wolves in the final game of the Premier League season.

Amidst all this though, could Marcus Rashford be left on the bench in the Europa League final?

Could the Manchester United star be left on the bench in the Europa League final?

Cavani’s recent form has meant that he is almost certain to start against Villarreal. It is the trio behind him that could be interesting to predict.

Bruno Fernandes has been the club’s talisman ever since arriving and will surely start, while Paul Pogba has also been very instrumental this season. Thus, that could leave only one spot up for grabs.

On current form, you have to say that it is Mason Greenwood who should get the nod. The youngster has been brilliant in the past month or so.

Of course, moving Pogba back to the midfield two could lead to Rashford’s inclusion in the starting XI. But that would mean leaving either Scott McTominay or Fred out.

One thing is for sure, it will be very interesting to see Solskjaer’s line up for the big final vs Villarreal.
