Manchester United have made contact for €25 million star
Central midfield is an area that Manchester United might need reinforcements in moving forward. The partnership of Fred and Scott McTominay has done well this season and have some great backup in the form of Nemanja Matic.
But there is the feeling that it is an area that the club could improve upon further. At the end of the day, Matic is 32 years of age and is being linked with an exit as well. On the other hand, there have been occasions when it has looked like the duo of Fred and McTominay might not be the long-term answer for the Red Devils in the middle of the park.
One player who has been winning a lot of plaudits in recent times is Mauro Arambarri. The 25-year-old currently plays for La Liga side Getafe and has done brilliantly since joining them. He has even represented the Uruguay national team on a number of occasions.
As a result, he has been linked with some big clubs in recent times with Manchester United being one of them. As reported by AS, representatives of the Red Devils have already made contact to make their interest known in the player.

Manchester United have made contact for Arambarri
Arambarri is believed to have a release clause of around €25 million in his current contract with Getafe, which runs till the summer of 2023. Although, there is a feeling that it is possible that a deal could be done for a transfer fee around €20 million as well although that will depend on how things develop from here on in the transfer market.
It is believed that Arambarri is viewed as the perfect complement to Bruno Fernandes, who has emerged as an absolute superstar ever since moving to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon.
The race for his signature won’t be easy though as La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid have been linked with the midfielder as well. But at this point of time, it is Manchester United who appear to be most interested in the Getafe star.
