It has been a season where Manchester United have shown significant improvement in various departments. But it must be said that there are certain players at the club who have played a lot of football.
This situation has emerged due to either the club not having enough squad depth in certain positions or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sticking to someone because of how well they have been performing consistently.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been one such player, with the Englishman playing 4,409 minutes of football over the course of 51 appearances this season, according to stats from Transfermarkt.
The Red Devils are believed to have been looking to sign a backup option for their first-choice right-back in the summer transfer window. But if that ends up being the case, you have to wonder what that means for the future of Diogo Dalot at Old Trafford.

Manchester United want to discuss Diogo Dalot’s future with AC Milan
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness), AC Milan will discuss the future of Dalot with Manchester United at the end of the season.
Signed by the Serie A giants on loan from the Red Devils last summer, Dalot has made 30 appearances for them across all competitions this season, according to stats from Transfermarkt. Having registered 2 goals and 3 assists from 1987 minutes of football till now, Dalot has been seen operating at both right-back and left-back, proving his brilliant versatility.
Thus, it looks like the Italian giants might be keen on signing Dalot on a permanent basis but his future at AC Milan could hinge on whether the club qualifies for next season’s Champions League or not. Qualifying for the Champions League would mean more stability, especially in the current financial climate.
At this point of time, it does not look like Dalot would get a lot of playing time even if he did return to Old Trafford, especially if Manchester United sign another right-back this summer. Thus, a move away could suit both the club and the player.
