Edinson Cavani is in red-hot form for Manchester United right now and is proving that he is still capable of leading the line for a top Premier League side. But despite that, the club are expected to make a move for another striker in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Cavani is 34 years of age and despite his great performances, he is not a long-term solution for the Red Devils. On top of that, he has had his fair share of injury issues this season and has been linked with a move away from the club as well.
One striker that they have been linked with for quite some time is Harry Kane. The Tottenham Hotspur superstar is one of the, if not the, best strikers in the world right now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 219 goals for Tottenham Hotspur through the course of his career.
But for all of his individual achievements, he is yet to win a trophy with the club. And as it looks like they are set to miss out on a Champions League spot, the striker is being linked with a summer exit.

Chelsea hand Manchester United Harry Kane transfer blow
As reported by Football Insider, Chelsea are emerging as surprise frontrunners to sign Kane. It is believed that the striker is a top target and the club are ready to line up a huge transfer bid for him if they get encouragement that a deal can be done.
This is will naturally be a blow to the Red Devils, who are believed to have their eyes set on a new striker in the summer as well with Kane being one of the players that they have been linked with heavily over the past few months.
It remains to seen whether Tottenham Hotspur are open to the idea of letting Kane leave though. His contract runs till the summer of 2024 and if he does indeed depart, the transfer fee is expected to be upwards of £100 million.
