Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland is already considered as one of the best strikers in the world and rightfully so. At 20 years of age, the Norwegian has established himself as a prolific goalscorer for both his club and country. But before joining Borussia Dortmund in January of 2019, he was extensively linked with Manchester United.
A move to Old Trafford was looking like a real possibility back then, especially due to the presence of the club’s current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, under whom Haaland had already played during his time at Molde FK.
But a move failed to materialise and instead the Norwegian ended up joining Borussia Dortmund. And it is safe to say that he has had a brilliant time with the Bundesliga giants.
The Red Devils are still believed to be interested in signing Haaland but the player is believed to be rated between €150 million to €180 million. That is a massive transfer fee, especially in the current financial climate. Thus, the Red Devils might have to keep an eye out for alternative targets as well.

Could Belotti be Haaland alternative for Manchester United?
As reported by Calciomercato, Manchester United are one of the many teams interested in signing Andrea Belotti from Torino this summer. The Red Devils are believed to be joined by the likes of AS Roma, AC Milan, and Tottenham Hotspur. Other clubs have been linked with the striker in the past as well.
Belotti has had a long career at Torino. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made 223 appearances for them, scoring 104 goals and providing 26 assists in the process of doing so.
But his contract with the Serie A club is set to expire in the summer of 2022, and as a result, they might have to let him this summer if they cannot agree a new deal with him. Otherwise, he will become a free agent a season later.
