It is no secret that Manchester United had tried to sign Jadon Sancho in the past summer transfer window. But ultimately a move failed to materialise.
The Red Devils failed to match the €120 million transfer fee that Borussia Dortmund were believed to have been looking for. As a result, Sancho ended up staying with the Bundesliga giants.
But it looks like the English international could be available on a bargain fee this summer. As reported by Sport1 (via Manchester Evening News), Borussia Dortmund have internally agreed to decrease Sancho’s transfer price to the region €85 million to €90 million.
This is lower than the €100 million that Manchester United were believed to have been ready to shell out to make the move happen. Thus, could it open the door to an Old Trafford switch for Sancho this summer?

Sancho could be a great signing for Manchester United
Sancho is one of the most highly rated talents in Europe at this point of time. After a slow start this season, he has managed to get back to his old form and has forged a brilliant partnership with Erling Haaland along the way as well.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 12 goals and provided 18 assists in 34 appearances this season. Those are incredible numbers for a player who just turned 21 and he has been showing that kind of productivity for a few seasons now.
Thus, signing someone with his potential for a transfer fee in the range of €85 to €90 million would most probably represent a bargain in the modern day transfer market. As a result, if the opportunity is there, the Red Devils should definitely consider making a move.
The club are expected to sign a new right winger in the summer transfer window and someone like Sancho could be perfect to fill in that void in the squad.
