Aston Villa linked with move for Manchester United star
Manchester United are expected to make a splash in the upcoming summer transfer window as they aim to take the next step in their progress. But while some new faces are expected to arrive at Old Trafford, some old ones might end up leaving as well. One such player could be Axel Tuanzebe.
The 23-year-old was very impressive earlier in the season when he put in an incredible performance in the 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Following that performance, many believed that this could be the season when Tuanzebe establishes himself as a starter at Old Trafford. Unfortunately, that has not been the case though. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has made only 15 appearances across all competitions this season, featuring for just 644 minutes.
Thus, it would not be a surprise to see him depart Old Trafford at the end of this campaign. And as reported by Football Insider, Aston Villa appear to be planning to make a move for Tuanzebe.

Could Tuanzebe be set to leave Manchester United in the summer?
There is no doubting the fact that Tuanzebe has the potential to be a top centre-back. And he has been hailed for his leadership abilities as well, having captained Manchester United already.
But at 23 years of age, he needs to be playing regular football, which he is not doing at Old Trafford at this point of time. Thus, it would be understandable if he does want a move away in the summer.
It is believed that a transfer fee in the region of £7 million could be enough to convince the Red Devils to let him leave, especially if Tuanzebe pushes for a move. And Aston Villa are a club he knows well, having already been there on loan in the past. Thus, the transfer would make sense for the youngster.
