Manchester United star set to push for Old Trafford exit
There is no denying the fact that Jesse Lingard has been one of the most in-form players in the Premier League ever since joining West Ham United on loan from Manchester United in the past winter transfer window.
According to stats from Premier League’s official website, he has made 11 appearances this season, scoring 9 goals and providing 3 assists till now. This is even more incredible considering the fact that he struggled to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team and made only 3 appearances for the Red Devils (2 in the League Cup and 1 in the FA Cup) in the first half of the season according to stats from Transfermarkt.
There is no doubt he is a man in form right now but at the end of this campaign, he will only have a year left on his current deal. Of course, that leaves the club with a decision to make regarding his future.
As reported by Eurosport, Lingard is almost certain to push for a permanent move away from Old Trafford this summer.

Lingard reportedly wants Manchester United exit this summer
It is not hard to see why Lingard would want a summer move away from Old Trafford. He has been spectacular away on loan and has been playing some of the best football of his career. In fact, this is the most goals he has ever scored in a Premier League season. He is also back in the England national team picture.
On the other hand, it perhaps makes sense on Manchester United’s end as well. Despite his impressive form, it is hard to see where Lingard will fit into the current team even if he ends up returning.
Thus, leaving the Red Devils at the end of the season might be the best decision for both the club and the player. Now, it remains to be seen where he will end up if he does leave although West Ham United clearly seem like the most likely destination at this point of time.
