Manchester United could only manage a 0-0 draw against Leeds United away at Elland Road, meaning that Premier League leaders Manchester City need only six more points from their last five games of the season to guarantee themselves the title.

While this season has been promising for the Red Devils in the overall scheme of things, there is no doubt that further improvement can be made in certain areas. One of those areas is striker.

Anthony Martial has failed to find the back of the net on a consistent basis this season. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has only managed to score 7 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions.

Edinson Cavani, on the other hand, has looked like a man capable of leading the line. But he has had his fair share of injury issues this season and at 34 years of age, is not a long-term solution up top for the Red Devils. As a result, it would not be surprising if the club end up going for another striker in the summer.

Manchester United linked with Andrea Belotti

One man who the club have been linked with recently is Torino captain Andrea Belotti. The Italian international has been a consistent performer for the Serie A side for years but his current contract expires in the summer of 2022.

As a result, he has been linked with a move away with a number of Serie A giants believed to be interested in securing his services. But as reported by Tuttosport (via Goal), Manchester United and Liverpool are eyeing a move for the striker as well.

With just a year left on his contract, he could even be available on a bargain this summer and if there is an opportunity for a deal to be done, the Red Devils should not think twice about it. Belotti is a proven goalscorer who can bring a lot to this squad.
