Manchester United handed major Raphael Varane transfer boost
As it looks like the European Super League might very well be in the rear-view mirror, it is time to focus on the future once again for clubs like Manchester United with the summer transfer window coming up soon.
There are a number of positions that the club will be expected to improve upon over the course of the next few months and one of them is certainly at centre-back. While Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have done very well this season but the likes of Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe have all been linked with moves away in recent months.
Thus, it might be very important for them to sign a new central defender in the summer and one man who has been heavily linked with a move in recent months is Real Madrid superstar Raphael Varane.
Manchester United have been handed a massive boost in this regard. As reported by Marca (via Express), Varane would welcome a switch to the Premier League.

Manchester United handed Varane transfer boost
Varane’s current contract is set to run out in the summer of 2022 and if they are unable to agree a new deal with him, they might have to let him leave at the end of this season. And the Red Devils are believed to be one of the clubs most interested in securing the services of the French World Cup winner.
Of course, it would not be easy to sign the 27-year-old, who is rated as one of the best defenders in the world at this point of time, as Chelsea are also believed to be interested in his signature.
Signing a defender of the quality of Varane would be considered as a major coup for any club. Now, it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils can pull off a move of this magnitude in the summer.
