It was looking like it could be a frustrating result for Manchester United before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat once again, like they have done so many times already this season.

Mason Greenwood is looking like his old self once again. After a brilliant debut campaign, the teenager had found the going tough this time around for a period of time. But now, he is back to his best once again and looking like one of the top prospects in world football.

It was his brace that powered the Red Devils to a 2-1 lead against Burnley before a goal from Edinson Cavani in injury time put the game beyond the visitors.

This is a massive win for Solskjaer’s side as they continue to chase Manchester City in the Premier League table. With 6 games left to be played in the league this season, Pep Guardiola’s side have a 8 point lead over their neighbours. But stranger things have happened in football before.

Manchester United Player Ratings vs Burnley

Here’s how we rated the Manchester United players as they managed a very important 3-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League:

Victor Lindelof – 6.5

Harry Maguire – 6

Luke Shaw – 6.5

Scott McTominay – 6

Fred – 5

Mason Greenwood – 9

Bruno Fernandes – 6.5

Paul Pogba – 7

Edinson Cavani – 7.5

Substitutes

Edinson Cavani – 7

Donny van de Beek – 6.5

Now, it is still very likely that Manchester City will eventually end up lifting the Premier League title at the end of the season. But the Red Devils have certainly done very well to keep things interesting till this point of time.

And to be honest, stranger things have happened before in football. At the end of the day, Manchester City are not in brilliant form at the moment and as a result, Solskjaer’s side might still have a chance to turn things around.

Now, their focus should be on finishing the season as strong as possible and hopefully with some silverware.
