Manchester United are expected to make a move for a new striker in the upcoming summer transfer window. And after the club’s recent struggles to find the back of the net on a consistent basis, it is not hard to see why.
Anthony Martial had a great campaign last time around and looked like a potential long-term striker for the club. He has failed to match those high standards this time around though and has been out of form for the majority of the season.
On the other hand, Edinson Cavani has looked good when on the pitch. But he has had his fair share of injury issues, which have kept him on the sidelines on multiple occasions. And he has also been linked with a move away from the club at the end of this season.
Thus, a new striker might be on top of Manchester United’s wishlist this summer and Harry Kane is someone who has been linked with the club in recent times. But as reported by The Independent (via Manchester Evening News), Paris Saint-Germain could make a move for the England international if Kylian Mbappe leaves the Ligue 1 side.

Manchester United handed Harry Kane transfer blow
Kane is without doubt, one of the best strikers in the Premier League. His record speaks for itself. He has enjoyed a spectacular career with Tottenham Hotspur but has been rumoured with a move away if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, which is looking very possible at the moment as Jose Mourinho’s side sit at 7th with just 7 games left to be played.
Tottenham Hotspur are believed to rate Kane at around £150 million. Paris Saint-Germain are one of the few clubs in the world capable of making a deal of that magnitude happen.
The Red Devils have been linked extensively with the striker as well but it is worth noting that he will be 28 at the start of next season. Thus, you have to wonder whether Erling Haaland would be a better alternative considering he is believed to be available for a similar transfer fee this summer and is just 20 years of age right now.
