Manchester United put in a brilliant second half display against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur side to come out with a 3-1 victory in an important Premier League game.

The result could have a huge impact in not only the top four race but the title race as well. After Manchester City lost to Leeds United, the win allowed the Red Devils to close down the gap a bit. And while Pep Guardiola’s side are still likely to win the competition come the end of the season, at least it leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side with a chance.

Goals from Fred, Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood sealed all three points for United. But there was a brilliant performance from Paul Pogba as well which deserves special mention and all the praise in the world.

Now, the fans should be hoping that the club find a way to extend his stay at Old Trafford because when he is in this kind of form, The Frenchman is one of the best players in the Premier League.

It was a huge win for Solskjaer’s side and one that will do their confidence a lot of good. Now, it is true that Jose Mourinho’s side are not in great form at the moment. But earlier in the season, the Red Devils had suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, and as a result, this will be a statement as well.

Now, the focus should be on finishing the season as strong as possible and hopefully win some silverware.
