Jesse Lingard has been absolutely sensational ever since moving to West Ham United on loan from Manchester United in January. According to Premier League’s stats, he has scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in just 8 appearances this season.
What is even more impressive is the fact that he did not even make a single appearance for the Red Devils in the Premier League this season before moving to David Moyes’ side on loan in the winter transfer window.
Naturally, West Ham United are believed to be interested in signing him on a permanent basis although there is no option-to-buy in his loan deal. And as reported by Mirror, Manchester United value Lingard at £30 million.
If they receive that kind of a transfer fee, it would be significant, considering the fact that Lingard will only have a year left on his current deal with the Red Devils at the end of this season.

Does Lingard have a future at Manchester United?
Based on his current form, it certainly looks like Lingard should have been provided more opportunities at Old Trafford this season, especially after the club’s struggles to find the back of the net on a consistent basis in recent months.
But then, it is important to remember that he has never scored more than 8 goals in a single Premier League season for the Red Devils according to stats from Transfermarkt. Thus, one has to question whether he is the right fit for the style of football that the club play. And even if he returns at the end of the season, will he be a regular in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team after that?
Without doubt, Lingard is playing the best football of his career at West Ham United this season. And it might be the perfect place for him at this point of time. Whether they will be able to sign him on a permanent basis from Manchester United remains to be seen though.
