Manchester United look set to witness some drastic changes in their goalkeeping department, with both Sergio Romero and David de Gea being linked with moves away from the club this summer.

While the Argentinian has mostly been United’s second-choice goalkeeper since he arrived at Old Trafford, the Spaniard is considered one of the best to ever put on the gloves for the Red Devils. But now, it looks like both could be headed for the exit door in the not too distant future.

Romero has been out of the first-team picture for quite some time and after failing to secure an exit over the past couple of transfer windows, he will be a free agent this summer as his contract runs out.

On the other hand, De Gea is also believed to be possibly on his way out of Old Trafford in the summer, with Dean Henderson looking like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first choice in goal at this point of time.

Manchester United might be set to let more goalkeepers leave

As reported by Manchester Evening News it looks like Joel Pereira, Lee Grant and Paul Woolston are the other keepers who could be on their way out of Old Trafford, as all of their current deals run out in the summer.

Having joined United in 2012 as a youth player, Pereira has had spent almost his entire senior career away on loan from Old Trafford. The 24-year-old, who is currently on loan at Huddersfield Town, has only earned three senior appearances for Manchester United through the course of his time at the club.

Woolston, 22, joined the youth setup of the Premier League giants in 2018 but has never made a senior appearance for the Red Devils.

On the other hand, Grant is a veteran keeper and the 38-year-old’s current deal is also set to expire in the summer. But, there have been a few rumours about him being provided a player-coach role moving forward.
