A lot has been happening at Manchester United recently with a lot of speculation about potential transfers and rumours of contract renewals doing the rounds. Amidst all this, the Red Devils have not allowed their form to slip up. Currently they sit at second in the Premier League table and are in the quarter-final of the Europa League where they will take on Granada.
In order to reach that stage of the competition, they had to beat AC Milan in the last 16, which they did with a 2-1 win on aggregate over the two legs.
Since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the manager, the club has shown great improvement in a number of aspects and even managed to reach the top of the Premier League at one stage of this season.
Be it in signing impressive talents or improving the performances on the pitch, things have looked promising under Solskjaer but the club is yet to lift a trophy with him as the manager.

The next step for Manchester United will be to win a trophy under Solskjaer
Former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic believes that while the current team looks better than the one that he played for, it won’t matter if the club does not win anything. As reported by the Mirror, the Swedish legend said:
"“I think it’s better, it looks better, but it doesn’t matter if you don’t win nothing. I think it was better than mine, but I won trophies, that’s the big difference.”"
It is true that Ibrahimovic did win trophies during his time at Old Trafford. This team certainly does look better than the team from a couple of years ago but ultimately, a club like Manchester United is always judged on trophies, something that they have not won under Solskjaer.
They have a brilliant chance to do so this season though. While winning the Premier League might be looking very unlikely at this point of time, the same cannot be said about the Europa League. They are in the quarter-final of the competition and will be one of the favourites to lift the trophy come the end of the season.
