Manchester United have made some brilliant progress this season. Not many people would have predicted them to sit at second in the Premier League table at this stage of the season and thus things are looking encouraging for the Red Devils moving forward.
The most important thing right now would be to continue on this upward curve and hopefully return to the top of English football in the not too distant future. As a result, it would not be surprising to see further changes take place at Old Trafford in the summer.
One of them could involve the club’s long-time goalkeeper David de Gea. Recently, the Spaniard has found himself on the bench, with Dean Henderson taking up the first-team gloves. As a result, rumours are doing the rounds about his future with the Red Devils.
And club legend Rio Ferdinand feels that De Gea might end up leaving if Henderson finishes the season as the No 1. While speaking with BT Sport and as reported by Goal, he said:
"“If Dean Henderson finishes the season as No 1, I don’t see De Gea staying there. No chance, I don’t see it. I think he’ll go out now.”"

De Gea could be on his way out of Manchester United in the summer
As reported by Mirror, De Gea is set to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.
Having joined the club back in 2011, the Spaniard has managed to forge a brilliant career for himself at Old Trafford and will be considered as a club legend. He is the the only man in history to win the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year on four occasions and was arguably the best goalkeeper in the world at his peak.
He has not been as solid over the past couple of seasons though as mistakes have crept into his game. And in the form of Henderson, the Red Devils have a young goalkeeper who can be a stalwart in the first-team for the next decade or so, just like De Gea has been.
