Sometimes, it is not about doing it in style but just getting a result. That’s what Manchester United have done on a number of occasions this season. And that’s what they did against Brighton & Hove Albion to come out with a 2-1 win.

It was Graham Potter’s side who had gone into half-time with a 1-0 lead but the Red Devils managed to mount a comeback once again and secured all three points on the night.

It was a massive win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. On one hand, it kept their title hopes alive. On the other, it was a huge win when it comes to the top four race.

With both Leicester City and Chelsea losing this weekend, the two teams behind them, it opens up a gap. Now, United have a 4 point lead over The Foxes and a 9 point lead over The Blues.

In a long league season, you certainly need wins like this. While fans will not be delighted with the performance, they should certainly be delighted with the result.

Clearly, it was not the best day at the office for a number of the players, but ultimately, they managed to come out with all three points. And that is what matters most at this stage of the season.

Going forward though, more will be expected from a number of these players. Especially in the Europa League if they are to lift some silverware this season. They face Granada next, in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final.
