‘Poor’ – Pundit criticises Manchester United star’s form
Manchester United currently sit at second in the Premier League table and are also in the quarter-finals of the Europa League, where they are one of the favourites to win the competition. As a result, it is safe to say that they have enjoyed a very decent campaign till now.
But despite that, it is hard to point out a number of players who have stood out this season. Of course, Bruno Fernandes has been brilliant as he was expected to be. Luke Shaw has been spectacular as well and could very well be the best left-back in the Premier League right now. Paul Pogba has been very good when on the pitch but he has spent a lot of time on the sidelines with injury issues as well.
Other than that, not too many players have enjoyed stellar campaigns though. And one man who did start very well but has faded away since then is Marcus Rashford.
The Englishman’s overall stats this season are spectacular. In 45 appearances, he has scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists according to stats from Transfermarkt. But only 4 of those goals have come since the turn of the year as he has not been at his best for quite some time now.

The Manchester United star has not been at his best recently
While speaking with Football Fancast, former Manchester United player, Keith Gillespie said:
"“I think for quite a while Rashford’s been poor, and I think a lot of Man United fans feel this.“He’s got all the talent in the world but just sometimes his decision-making isn’t good enough.”"
It is hard to argue with Gillespie here. A number of Rashford’s performances have been poor in recent months. But that is only natural in a season where the fixtures have come thick and fast.
The fact that he has made 45 appearances with a good chunk of the season still left just goes on to show how congested the schedule has been. As a result, it is not a surprise that there has been a rough patch in the middle of it. This is no cause for worry and Rashford will hopefully be back to his best sooner rather than later.
