Manchester United want Premier League star as Jadon Sancho alternative
Manchester United were looking to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund last summer. The Red Devils were believed to be even prepared to shell out around €100 million for the Englishman.
The Bundesliga giants were firm on their reported €120 million asking price though, considering Sancho had almost three years left on his contract at that point of time.
The Premier League club were not willing to meet that though, especially in the middle of a global pandemic. As a result, a move failed to transpire and Sancho remained at Borussia Dortmund.
Now, it appears that United still hold an interest in Sancho but also know that he won’t be easy to sign, with rivals such as Chelsea and Manchester City also linked with making a summer move for the youngster. Thus, the Red Devils appear to have alternative targets as well.

Manchester United reportedly want Pedro Neto
According to The Sun, Manchester United have identified Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Neto as a summer transfer target and view him as an alternative to Sancho.
Signed for £16 million in 2019, the 21-year-old has become a talismanic figure for Wolves this season. Naturally, his performances have caught the attention of other clubs.
Capable of playing on both wings, Neto has scored 5 goals and provided 4 assists from 33 appearances in all competitions this season. The report believes it could take a bid of over £50 million to bring him to Old Trafford.
Not only does Neto stand out for his pace and attacking skillset, but also he has a work-rate that makes him very effective when it comes to pressing and counter-pressing opponents.
Signing Sancho would be sensational for Manchester United. But if the club doesn’t find that door open this summer as well, then the Wolves star could prove to be a solid signing as well.
If not Neto, then the Red Devils have also been linked with Raphinha from Leeds United and Pedro Goncalves from Sporting CP over the past several months as their search for a right-winger continues.
